Ontem, na escola, teve o Halloween Party e a maioria dos alunos e todos os professores foram fantasiados.
Alguns alunos participaram, dois dias antes, do Pumpkin Carving. O resultado foi bom, podem conferir!
Teve também o Costume Contest mas muitos já tinham ido embora...
É uma festa levada a sério por aqui.
Em todas as lojas, bares, restaurantes, os funcionários vestem fantasias.
É mais ou menos como na época de Festa Junina no Brasil, que os funcionários das lojas vestem roupa caipira...
Hoje eu queria ver ao vivo como as crianças vêm e pedem os doces. Elas vêm e tocam a campainha falando Trick or Treat? E daí a gente abre a porta e oferece a bacia com as guloseimas. Em geral estão acompanhados pelos pais, que ficam na retaguarda esperando. Muitos deles também fantasiados. As crianças são bem educadas, pegam poucos doces em geral. Mas aparecem alguns marmanjos fantasiados também. Mas tudo muito civilizado, muito tranquilo.

I remember when I was studying in English for International School soon I got here in United States. In Halloween they had a room, and for me to get inside they put a blindfold in my eyes. People inside the room started touch my feet, arms, neck, and shoulder, trying to scare me. In the end, a guy touched my butt.
ResponderExcluirI understand that sometimes you get tired of English and think you don't know anything. I feel the same way. Then I realized a thing: When I study hardly I discover I still have so much to learn. In contrary, when I don't study I feel that I know enough English. As a matter of fact, you never know perfect English.

Thank you so much for reminding me how nice is the Halloween. It used to be my favorite party at the US. I tryed to find something here to show it to my daughter, but I couldn't. So I enjoyed more to show your pictures!! Thanks again! You are so fast on post pictures, I can't bealieve.
I carved one pumpkin on mid October... it didn't last 4 days in our weather... One day I show you the picture.
